Search for the term "hackintosh" on Google. You will need to do a fair amount of research. Not all hardware works since the Mac OS was only installed on a narrow variation of hardware itself.

Solution = (at least for me and 3 of my friends)

I have found that bypassing splash screen and or desktop shortcut works in many cases on several old games i have wished to play on vista.
so...
open up your installation folder eg: program files/lucas arts/jedi academy/game data: there are 2 exe files here
"jamp"=multiplayer
"jasp"= single player

go to properties on which ever you are trying to get to work and run in compatibility mode for xp AND run as administrator.

Voila!! retro gaming action for all.
Enjoy

I know what you mean Scott, I am in the same boat, with the move and new job, I'm up to my elbows in Java, I don't want to Java anything outside of work. I thought about Arduino projects, but some of those ideas are lame and I really don't have the space, I thought about an AR-15 project but again, the space. PhotoShop is a cool idea but I don't have the software and also would need a new camera. I thought about doing some Flex work, that might get the ol cranium going! But then it leads to the other question, what to design Flex, same question, still no answer. Still trying to think.

I am going to start learning Photoshop (more than just playing I hope) and get a new camera in the new year. Maybe that will help spur some imagination.

We'll see.

Ugh - I've changed jobs to get into a role that's more technical. I used to love computers and tinkering to get things working. I agree - not very inspired anymore. What's the next thing for us?

I'll let you know if I figure it out!
