I took my youngest son to Star Trek Fan Days in Plano, TX yesterday. The primary goal for us was to get William Shatner’s signature on a T-Shirt. This T-Shirt was a promotion from Kellog’s Pop-Tarts when the 2009 movie came out. My son doesn’t wear the shirt, so why not get it signed. I also attended the Q&A session with Shatner, which was very enjoyable. He talked about a few projects he is working on. Some were interesting to me, and some not. I look forward to the ones that were interesting to me.

The surprise at the show was Christoper Lloyd. Yes, Reverend Jim from Taxi, Doc Brown from Back to the Future and Commander Kruge from Star Trek III – The Search For Spock.

I am pretty sure the people putting on the event were surprised by the turnout for Mr. Lloyd. The line in the autograph room for Christopher went out the door and a long way down the corridor of the main lobby area. I spent less than 30 minutes waiting for Shatner’s signature, and over an hour and a half for Lloyd’s. I don’t think the event workers expected this either. They were not well prepared for dealing with such a long line.
BTW… Christopher Lloyd does not play the piano… I asked.
I also got my oldest son a signed picture of Tom Felton, who plays Draco Falfoy in the Harry Potter movies.
