I finished updating my Zune and went to the Zune Marketplace to see what games were available. As of yesterday, no such luck. However, the Zune update for the device did put Texas Hold Em and Hexic on my Zune 80.
Texas Hold Em looks a lot like the Hold Em game that was part of the Vista Ultimate Extras. Game play is fine. It was supper easy to just start playing it without reading a single instruction. Very easy to pickup and play. However, the AI is not very good. I beat it the second time playing it, and the 1st time I was goofing around and went All In for no good reason. It needs a skill level option. It should be harder to beat otherwise it won’t hold my attention very long.
Hexic is a Tetris take off. It is mildly entertaining.
Zuma would be nice on this device. You could used the touch pad to move/aim the shooter and shoot with the play/pause button. I supposed you won’t be able to use the back button on the Zune for game play since that is needed to get out of the game.
I have not had a chance to test this formally, but playing games seems to eat a lot of battery power. This may be an issue with a non user replaceable battery.
