I read this heading from Automotive News:
The Chrysler group is providing a lifetime powertrain warranty on all 2006 through 2008-model Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles delivered after July 25. The warranty applies only to the original purchaser or lessee. It is not transferable to subsequent owners. Owners must have the powertrains inspected once every five years.
This is the warranty for me. I still own my 1993 Camaro. I am tempted to buy a new Camaro or Challenger when they arrive on the scene. I would love this, and it would definitely play a role in choosing between a Chevrolet Camaro and a Dodge Challenger.
I would want to know what was included. For instance, my 93 Camaro Z28 overheated and dumped water on the distributor cap and rotor, ruining them. Would this be covered by such a warranty? If so then sign me up.
