Dear Scott,
I was very excited to come across this solution. However, I wasn’t able to make it work. I have several html. pages with about 4-5 images on each, and would love to create a hover effect instead of have the images open in a new or use “go back”. I know this is an old trick, but perhaps you can add step by step images?

Thank you for your advice. It worked perfectly. I can’t believe “Expression Web” doesn’t have “rollover” as a search term. Not intuitive is the key word.

It has been a long time since I did the rollover thing. I believe it uses JavaScript… not Java. So you need to be sure JavaScript is turned on in your browser. Also, some browsers react differently to JavaScript when it is local (meaning you are previewing a HTML file that is stored on the same machine as the browser). Check your browser to make sure it is allowing JavaScript execution. Then try uploading the page to a server and test it there. If those two things fail try using IE for the browser (if you aren’t already). I don’t remember if Expression Web generates IE specific code or not.

Hi, I’m having problems getting my rollover to work. I’m working on a website at home and when i preview the rollover dosen’t work.
I tried a similar exercise at work and found it’s working. Is there an application you need installed on your pc for this to work ie. java or something?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as i don’t think my work would be impressed with me using company equipment to do personnal work.

You probably noticed I too am using WordPress for my blog. I use Expression Web for my web site. I like it. My only advice is to build templates… called “Dynamic Web Templates” in Expression. Then build you pages from it. It makes global changes super easy, easy. Just update the templates and all the pages that use them get teh update.
